When you create an account using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, we collect:

  • Display name (optional, provided by your auth provider)
  • Authentication provider type (Apple or Google)
  • Unique user identifier
  • Account creation timestamp

2.2 Personal Development Data

As you use CTRL to track your personal growth, we store:

  • Season & Goal Data: Self-assessment baselines, intensity preferences, season dates and duration, pillar targets (Body, Mind, Craft, Wealth, Love)
  • Vision Data: Identity statements you create about your past, present, and future self, and your motivational "why" items
  • Tasks & Habits: Custom task templates you create with scheduling preferences
  • Activity Logs: Task completions, experience points (XP) earned, daily progress
  • Achievements: Wins you record with optional notes and dates
  • Streak Data: Consecutive days with activity, longest streak records

2.3 Usage & Analytics Data

To improve our service and user experience, we collect:

  • App usage patterns: Screens viewed, features used, interaction events
  • Onboarding data: Flow completion and drop-off points
  • Session information: Duration and frequency of app use
  • Technical data: App version, device type, operating system version
  • Performance metrics: Crashes, errors, and diagnostic data

2.4 Subscription Information

Through our payment processor RevenueCat and Apple App Store:

  • Subscription status (active/inactive)
  • Subscription type (monthly/annual)
  • Purchase timestamps

Note: We never see or store your payment card details. All payment information is handled by Apple.

2.5 Technical & Security Data

  • Timezone preference
  • Device attestation tokens (for security verification via Firebase App Check)
  • Last activity timestamps

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Provide the Service: To create and maintain your personalized CTRL experience, track your progress, and sync your data across devices

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure (Firestore database and Firebase Authentication). Firebase employs industry-standard encryption both in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Some data is also cached locally on your device for offline access using secure local storage.

While we implement strong security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We continuously monitor and update our security practices.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained for analytics purposes.

Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers (particularly Firebase/Google) operate. These countries may have different data protection laws than your country of residence. By using CTRL, you consent to this transfer.
